OOTD#12 | South William Street | ASOS White
A quick outfit of the day to celebrate my 22nd Birthday. Whether its a Taylor Swift song or a Kylie Jenner lip colour, 22 is where its at. I wore this outfit to my birthday celebrations at BiteClub, a street-food discotheque in Galway city and again today to shoot this look.

OOTD#10 Dominick Street|Public Romance
Hey guys, I'm back from my Summer working and travelling in Marbella and have settled back into uni life. I have plenty of content lined up for VV and may also be making some serious decorative refurbishments to my site pretty soon! But for now, here's a little OOTD. 2014 Christmas Wishlist
2014 Christmas Wishlist by sarahmagliocco
It's the most wonderful time of the year, oh I wish it could be Christmas everyday, walking in a Winter wonderland...etc.
So it's the time of the year again where festive cheer and fiscal spending is at it's highest, and I'm not complaining! Whether you are shopping for yourself or for gifts for others, here's my run down of 15 things I'd be very happy to see under my tree this year, or look forward to treating myself to in the new year.
1. The Bucket Hat
Iv'e been longing for a good bucket hat since the Summer, with my favourite style being the classic Stussy and this rare Nike Air Tokyo specimen.
2. The Platform Slip On
The shoe of A/W was the slip on plimsole, and I love River Island for introducing this snakeskin platform version. They're even on sale!
3. Embelished Choker
Tattoo chokers are dime a dozen now, I'll be adding interest with embellishment.
4. Faux Fur
Every Winter season faux fur comes back with a vengence, and these Missguided heels are an alternative twist on the typical faux fur clutches and jackets.
5. Dark Berry Lipstick
As stereotypical as it is, as the evenings get darker so do make up hues, and lips are no exception. MAC Rebel is my personal favouries.
6. iPhone 6
A major stocking filler this Christmas will be the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.. If you have a handy few hundred euro laying around. One can only dream..
7. HUF
HUF socks have been on my wishlist for a while now, particularily since the "palm" leaf print has been big. What print would look cuter with faux fur sliders or Nikes.
8.Adidas Mountain Clash Collection
I have become obsessed with landscape print and Adidas has the perfect urban edge to showcase a print like this in the coolest possible way.
9. Explicit Content
I am in love with this Missguided clutch, keeping the original Alexander Wang motif alive.
10. Casio Watch
A nod to the 80's, Iv'e had my eye on this Casio digital watch for years, I think it's such a classic and a nice alternative to the chunky styles from Michael Kors and River Island that have been popular for the last few years.
11. Penny Board
I started learning to skate like 2 years ago and never managed to get to grips with it. I saw the Penny Board first in my all time favouritee blogger and Youtuber, The Beauty Crush's, video a few months ago and have been obsessed with their sweet colour schemes ever since.
12. Kenzo Jumper
I much prefer the eye motif to the Kenzo tiger, I will be saving my Christmas dosh for a trip to BT2's.
13. Lacy
Who doesn't want cute underwear! Topshop have been steadily releasing cute lacy items all season if your Christmas budget doesn't quite stretch to this Stella Mc Cartney piece, but this particular triangle bra is available here.
14. Over the Knee Boots
I'm jumping on the band wagon here but over the knee boots are my favourite footwear fad of the minute.
15. Hidden Treasure
My go-to nail varnish that I re-purchase and re-purchase is Topshop's 'hidden treasure'.

NCAD Graduate Fashion Show 2014
Last weekend, my friend Daniel and I went to the NCAD annual graduate fashion show in Christchurch.
I was covering the show for, of course, Vintage Venom, but also Style Eyes, another site I collaborate with, you can check out the corresponding article on the Style Eyes website here.

So I was able to get some amazing photo's from my seat, luckily we managed to get a front row spot at the end of the catwalk. All of the graduate designer's collections were incredibly cutting-edge and each fashion student had something unique to present.
Project Title: Mother Says
Project Title: Untitled
Statement: In addresssing the excessive work and physical labour in our cultural memory, my design is process driven and 'overworked'. Through combining experimental construction with reworked hand craft techniques a collection of strong, weighted silhouettes is created.
Project Title: Basted Estate
Statement: This collection is a response t the overt consumerism of the celtic tiger years, and to the liberal nature of contemporary dance. arments reference classic menswear, with working illustrations printed on the exterior, exposing the veracity of the process.
Project Title: New Tradition
Statement: My collection is based on the contrast between a world that has become obsessed with plastics and synthetics in it's quest for perfection and the earthy, raw traditional elements that are being left behind as a result.
Project Title: Cabinet of Curiosities.
Statement: A glance into the world of a collector and their relationship with their cllection.
Blending reality with obsession through fabric manipulation and dramatic shapes.
Project Title: Van Alles is Weer Waardeloos
Project Title: Autoscopy
Statement:
Autoscopy- seeing one's own body from an elevated and distanced visuo-spatial perspective.
Inspired by the work of photographer Francesca Woodman, this collection is an exploration of self representation against the external environment through clothing. Woodman chooses herself as the subject in her portraits, sometimes manipulating her body physically or perceptivley as a statement of taking control of herself as subject and not object.
Project Title: Untitled
Statement: Exploring urban environments to inspire a casual, fresh menswear collection using contrasting fabrics for Spring/Summer.
Project Title: Wrap
Statement:
Exploring the concept of a misleading online persona, a person reduced to pixels or squares on a scren. Garments are reduced to these pixels or squares, which are warped and distorted by the body.
Project Title: Reverie
Statement: Body forms distorting prints and knit to create illusions through movement of the wearer. A colour story inspired by personal imagery of Dublin's architecture.
Project Title: Lackaghmore
Statement: "Lackaghmore" my home in Donegal is the inspiration for my collection. The visual contrast between masculine and feminine will be explored through silhouette and fabrication. My collection embodies the strength, dynamics and power of a family of women and their sense of place.
Project Title:
Wrap. Clench. Clutch. Consume.
Statement:
The collection observes both the real and intangible relationship between the Woman and her handbag. Garments draw the physical link between the bag, the body and the body language of the wearer. Silhouettes are all-consuming in their portrayal of the overpowering relationship between the fashion accessory and the self.
Project Titile: Allusive Contrasts
Statement: Contrasts make for dramatic statements. Creating narrative by contrasting light and dark, striking structures, flowing prints and elaborate textures.
Project Title: Kastom Dresing Blong Yumi.
Statement: The issue of cultural appropriation versus cultural misappropriation comes to the fore: what constitutes as acceptable in today's society when we observe the globalisation of indigenous culture in contempory fashion? A study of the appropriator and the appropriated is conducted as social politics, multiculturalism and cultural identity are explored.
That's all my snaps from the show, except for a few I took a the beginning when the 3rd years were showcasing, but I might make a seperate post about them as this one is already so long.
The entire show was amazing and enjoy browsing the photos of each collection.
