Review | L'Oreal Paris Miss Manga Mascara.

As a, well, a girl, Iv'e spent approximatley half my life and more than a few hundred euro on my hunt for the perfect mascara. My endevours include falling in love with Maybelline's 'The Falsies' and being less than impressed with Benefit's 'They're Real', but my most recent conquest is the L'Oreal Paris 'Miss Manga' Mega Volume Mascara, which launched in Ireland & the UK this month.
The first interesting niche of Miss Manga is that it's avalable in three shades, black, turquoise & purple for if your looking for a more distinct eye-catching look. I went for the black/noir shade as I can be a little set in my ways about my everyday winged-liner look.
Naturally I have pretty average eyelashes, medium length and medium sparsity, so I held high hopes for the anime eyed look that Barbara Plavin had promised me in the ads.
On first glance I wasn't too impressed with the brush, it seemed short bristled and was clumpy with excess product, which was dissapointing but rectifiable.
I was pleasantly surprised with the first coat I applied, the product was pretty clump free and very easily applyable due to the brush shape. It was only when I attempted to coat individual lashes which I had missed that the brush became an issue, leaving marks of mascara on my brow bone and upper eyelid.
These marks can be forgiven, in my opionion, due to the volume and length in particular that the Miss Manga Mascara provides.
Overall the Miss Manga mascara was pretty good, maybe not for everyday wear as much as on a night out as it is difficult to lightly disribute the product. Also it was not as pigmented as other mascaras, two coats was definitley necessary for a dramatic coal black look.

On the positive side, Miss Manga gave extreme volume and especially length, the packaging was cute and eyecatching and generally this product does deserve the hype and attention it's been recieving in the blogosphere!

Christmas Wish List by Polyvore.

Christmas Wish List

Christmas Wish List by sarahmagliocco featuring River Island

So it's that time of year again, and being a material girl I always make a Wish List.

Missguided evening dress
$44 - missguided.co.uk

I have had the seasonal obsession with white clothes every since the minimalist trend rolled around, and the persuit of the perfect flattering white dress has been an obsession ever since.

Levi's denim shorts
etsy.com

Denim shorts. Finally I got an amazing blue denim pair from Topshop a few weeks ago but my black clothes obsession never ceases.

Topshop stretch jeans
topshop.com

I have never been a jeans girl but since investing in a black pair of Moto black Leigh skinny jeans I now want a pair in every colout.

Leather pumps
nastygal.com

Jeffrey Campbell Scullys, my ultimate shoe crush of the year. Fingers crossed they're mine before the year is out.

Casio digital watch
target.com

The last watch I had was probably pink, plastic and sparkly and came out of a Lucky Bag. I love Casio watches, they are 90's accessories personified.

Moschino belt
net-a-porter.com

Just a dream. Although Cotton Face Vintage can apparently get them!

White headphone
chapters.indigo.ca

Self explanitory. My headphones are luminous orange and have no sound proofing what so ever. I'm sure the nice commuters on my bus route ae sick of the 1975 blaring out at them every morning.

New Celine Paris Printed Logo Men Black and White Cotton T Shirt Tee -...
etsy.com

Brian Lichtenburg is a satirical master, his Celine tee's are the epitome of this.

MAC Cosmetics lipstick
nordstrom.com

Dark red is my lipstick colour of choice and my Kate Moss Rimmel is running low.

Benefit eye makeup
$17 - johnlewis.com

Falsies. Nuff said.

Benefit perfume
$48 - debenhams.com

The sweetest, nicest perfume in existance. I cant walk past a Benefit counter without giving it a spritz.

River Island nail polish
$3.95 - riverisland.com

Matching nails, matching lips.

Velvet Scrunchie
$7.40 - americanapparel.co.uk

American Apparel doesn't ship to Ireland, I fear this will never host my raggedy bad hair days.

I made this wish list on Polyvore, follow my sets, the username is sarahmagliocco!

A little Primark Haul..

Good evening every one, and once again appologies for the lack of blog posts, I know I use the old busy excuse every time but what with being back at school and actually caring about school this time around, I really have been weighed down with work!

Today I was doing some Christmas shopping and of course I stopped into Penney's. Iv'e been really disappointed with Topshop and RI lately (unheard of I know!!) and so Iv'e pretty much just been shopping online and in Penney's due to the need for basic bits and fluffy winter socks and the like!

The first thing I picked up was a body-con grey marl midi dress for 13 euro.

My main fault wit it is that he bottom is a little too tight, walking up steep steps is pretty much impossible! (Trust me, I learned the hard way.)

I also picked up this jumper. Out with ombre hair, In with ombre knitwear! It was 16euro which is an absolute bargain seeings it's so pretty and cosy!

It's a kind of fluffy wool(100% acrylic, don't stand too near an open flame) which annoyingly moults a little but it's too soft to care!
Seeings I cannot justify buying the real American Apparel Disco Pants, I snapped up the Penney's version for 17euro. I say Penny's version but they are literally the exact the same as the AA ones, back pockets and all!
I also picked up this shirt, not sure how much it was. I wear it with my green John Lennon glasses and feel like i'm in a 70's band.
The print is an odd hybrid of hybrid of baroque/oriental/paisely but I like it, it's quite different than any other print I have in my wardrobe.

Cest tout pour le moment. I really will intend on posting every few days during the Christmas holidays! Enjoy the run up to Christmas!

September Haul: New Look, Thrift Store, Primark etc..

Hello all, my apologies for the lack of blogging this month, I had lots going on with moving house and starting school etc.  but today I have a little collective haul of bits and  bobs Iv'e collected over the past two or three weeks because Iv'e had lots more shopping money recently since I moved out of my apartment.
Firstly Iv'e been hitting a lot of car boot sales lately and I picked up these two broaches in Oranmore off a lovely lady who had a whole table of broaches so I had to restrain myself  a little and I just picked two.
I chose this intricate silver badge on a black velvet strip. It kind of reminded me of military style so I might pin it to my camoflage army jacket.
I also got this wings broach which was apparently some kind of air hostess badge from Canada which I think is really cool! And they were both only 3euro which was really good me thinks!

I went to new look and picked up a few things there, I got this amazing kind of tribal slightly sci-fi necklace.

It's kind of a choker necklace, the leather plaited strap is really short but surprisingly comfortable, the leather is super soft against your neck.

I also had a wander around Penneys (Primark) and picked up this cute beanie in the mens section. I also got two plain black beanies as I have some projects i n mind for them.

In the reduced section I found this cute belt. Seeings Iv'e always been obsessed with the Moschino lettering belts I picked this up for only 3euro.

When I was in New Look I got two pairs of shoes, firstly these AMAZING sci-fi style wedges. They were 44.99 but there was an offer for ten euro off so I grabbed them as Iv'e been wanting them for ages and ages.

I know the Summer's neon trend is over but we all know it will be back next year so for a tenner in the sale I snapped up these amazing neon yellow-green courts.

I hardly ever wear stillettos, nearly always chunky heels or booties but I thought these were a totally cool way to do neon!
In  a thrift store in Oranmore I found this wonderful embroideried top with intricate flowers and edging.

It has two cute fluro pink plaits on the edging as well, this top is full of detail!
While in Penneys I picked up this incredibly soft scarf for 4euro as my nod to Autumns perpetual tartan trend.

In another charity shop in Galway I picked up this weird nautical 8O's shirt that I think will look amaze with disco pants and  double decker creeper shoe. It was a complete bargain at 3euro!
I recently got two skirts because I need heavy wintery ones, mine are all kind of flimsy and summery.
I got this heavy cotton wine coloured one in River Island. I cant remember how much it was but whatever it was it was worth it because iv'e worn it so much already!
On  more impulse buy I got this crucifix print skirt for 19.99 in New Look, I love it but my God, I need to stop buying crucifix things!
That's my little haul and I'm pretty sure everything's still in store! I'm trying to get back on top of blogging once or twice a week so bear with me!
